Why the drag theme works
The theme that
brings the sass.
Inspired by the world's most famous drag race — no affiliation, all admiration — this is the hen party dance class in Plymouth for groups who want theatre, attitude and a lot of laughing at their own fabulousness. Your choreographer builds a routine from drag's greatest moves: the runway strut, the hair flip, hands-on-hips poses held like the camera's rolling, and a lip-sync section where commitment counts for everything and technique for nothing.
Nobody needs experience, because the whole point is character. The shy hens get a strut that does the talking for them; the extroverts finally have official permission. Bring wigs, boas or full looks if the group fancies it — we don't supply costumes, but we will absolutely choreograph to them. Groups torn between flavours of fierce should peek at our Beyoncé theme for precision power moves, or Spice Girls for nineties girl-group chaos — though neither comes with a lip-sync battle.
The finale is exactly what you'd hope: the bride front and centre for her own mini runway walk while the group frames her like the finest backup queens in Devon. It films beautifully — golden-hour re-runs on the Hoe afterwards are becoming a tradition. And when the wedding itself needs a showstopper, our wedding first dance lessons have converted more than one hen party's energy into an actual first dance.

Hour by hour
How the runway
hour unfolds.
We warm up with walks — plain at first, then progressively more ridiculous — until the whole group has found their strut. From there the routine builds in scenes: a pose sequence, a hair-flip chorus, a lip-sync breakdown where everyone picks their level of drama and then doubles it.
The hour closes with the full routine to music and a runway finale for the bride, flanked by her court. The ninety-minute session adds time to polish the lip-sync, stage a walk-off between rival teams of bridesmaids, and film the lot from the good angle.
Words from the runway
The judges'
scores.
"I have never seen my sister strut like that in my life. The lip-sync battle at the end had us on the floor."
"Our whole group chat is just slow-motion runway videos now. The choreographer matched the energy perfectly — pure joy."
"Booked it as a wildcard and it ended up being everyone's highlight. Even the bride's mum found her inner queen."
"Shantay, we absolutely stayed."
Drag theme specifics
Quick answers,
runway edition.
What hens ask before booking the RuPaul-inspired class in Plymouth — for anything else, the form below reaches us fastest.
01Is this an official RuPaul's Drag Race event?
No — it's our own drag-inspired dance class, created in loving tribute and with no affiliation to the show or its producers. What you get is the spirit of it: struts, poses, lip-sync drama and an hour of unfiltered confidence.
02What if some of us are terrible dancers?
Then they're perfect for it. This routine runs on attitude rather than technique — a fully committed pose beats a tidy pirouette every time. Your choreographer scales every move so the whole group looks fierce together.
03How glam should we arrive?
If the group fancies it, absolutely — wigs, boas and sequins are all welcome, though comfy shoes make the strutting easier. We don't provide costumes, so anything fabulous needs to arrive with you.
04What will we lip-sync and dance to?
Fierce, high-energy pop anthems — the kind built for runway walks — with the lip-sync section set to a track the room can howl along to. If the bride has an anthem, name it in the enquiry and we'll try to crown the routine with it.
05Does the bride get the closing lip-sync?
She closes the show. We choreograph a runway walk just for her, with the group framing her like backup queens, and pitch the drama anywhere from gentle glide to full theatrics — whatever suits her best.
06Where does the runway get built?
At a studio we hire in Plymouth city centre, confirmed with your booking and handy for wherever the night heads next. Staying somewhere together with floor space? We can bring the runway to your accommodation instead.
